- 1 pound chicken breasts
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add chicken to the skillet, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add orzo to the skillet and toast for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until orzo is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
- Slice the chicken and place on top of the orzo before serving.
