  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil, then stir in the grits and cook according to package instructions.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked grits, shrimp, cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked and the top is golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
