  • 4 cups eggnog
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut the crusty bread into cubes and place in a greased baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggnog, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes and gently stir to combine.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight to allow the bread to soak up the mixture.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Bake the casserole for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. In a small pan, heat the turkey bacon and then sprinkle over the casserole along with maple syrup just before serving.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
