English Pea Soup: Easy and Delicious with Turkey Bacon Twist

English-Pea Soup

A creamy and flavorful English pea soup enhanced with the delicious twist of turkey bacon.

  • 2 cups frozen English peas
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and add turkey bacon. Cook until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
  3. Add frozen peas and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Use an immersion blender to purée the soup until smooth.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with crumbled turkey bacon on top.

Notes

  • This soup pairs well with crusty bread.
  • For a vegetarian option, omit turkey bacon.
