  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour your cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the buttermilk, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water and chocolate chips.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
