These Caramel Apple Bars are a deliciously sweet treat combining the flavors of caramel and apple in a rich, indulgent dessert.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, butter, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until crumbly.
  3. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  5. Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down.
  6. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the base.
  7. Spread the remaining mixture on top and drizzle with the rest of the caramel sauce.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
